Brief Description of projects our engineers have worked on
HL7 INTERFACE ENGINE Developed a pluggable HL7 Generate & Transport application that is capable of converting any non-HL7 hospital management system to a fully HL7 compliant application.
DICOM STREAMING VIEWER Developed DICOM Streaming Server, a streaming system, which streams DICOM images on internet/ intranet using RTSP as underlying protocol.
PACS Image Viewer Objective of the project was to develop a DICOM image viewer that can support diagnosis based on image processing techniques and make reports quickly. Annotation tools are provided for image diagnosis. Features like image zoom, pan and window level adjustments are basic functionalities available to each image view port. This viewer is connected to a PACS server to get patient images from image database. The PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication Systems) server is designed receive DICOM images from Modalities. Images are then distributed to diagnosing terminals. Diagnosed images and reports are stored in the database. These reports are then available for specific doctor in charge.
DICOM PLUG-IN FOR WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER A plug-in that helps to view DICOM standard multi-frame images in Windows Media Player at 30 frames per second. The source files were compressed with JPEG-LS technique, ~33ms needed to decompress each frame for real-time display.
DICOM PRESENTER APPLICATION The dicom presenter application will allow physicians to easily create cohesive, informative, multimedia presentations from collections of raw dicom imagery. the inputs to the system will generally consist of directory trees containing dicom still images, movies, and text data produced by an imaging system.
PDS – PROTON DENSITY SEQUENCER PDS – Proton Density Sequencer helps user to automatically detect skin boundaries from dicom-mr axial images. with a single user interaction, the application extracts proton density values for deciding the gun values of cytotron equipment (www.cytotron.com).
CARDIAC APPLICATION FOR POSITRON EMISSION TOMOGRAPHY Developed a dedicated, specialized cardiac application for Positron Emission Tomography (CT-PET), which automatically processes data, reformats it and allows the clinicians to process pet dynamic or gated-dynamic data to export to more advanced academic analysis tools to perform Myocardial Blood Flow (MBF) analysis such as Coronary Flow Reserve (CFR).
